Bio

Megan Stubbs-Richardson is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Mississippi State University and a Research Fellow and Research Associate II at the Social Science Research Center. She received a M.S. degree in Sociology in 2014 from Mississippi State University, where she also graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Psychology in 2011. Megan’s primary areas of research include: gendered violence and victimization, adolescent violence and victimization, and both the pro-social and anti-social uses of social media. She is a member of the Social Media Tracking and Analysis System team at the Social Science Research Center where she is also a Co-Principal Investigator on a three-year project funded by the National Institute of Justice to investigate when rejection triggers aggression among a sample of high school students.
