My academic agenda revolves around learning how society "gets under the skin" and affects the health of its members. My research areas include sociology of medicine, demography of health, urban/rural health disparities, and quantitative methodologies. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Tennessee, a master's degree from Florida State University in Applied Demography, and I am currently ABD in Sociology here at Mississippi State University. I have enjoyed accruing several years worth of experience in both undergraduate instruction and scholarly research.
