Gbenga I. Elufisan is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology whose research is at the intersection of sociology, agriculture, technology governance, and inequity. Using qualitative methods, his dissertation explores the perception of agricultural autonomy among farmers in Mississippi. His experience has been a rich blend of academic, research, and community engagement, with valuable field research skills and multidisciplinary collaborations. His research has been presented in both regional and national professional conferences in the U.S. His teaching experience began with teaching high school students in Nigeria, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, he has assisted professors in teaching and managing classes and has guest-lectured undergraduate classes. He currently works as a Graduate Research Assistant on a USDA-NIFA-funded research on the socioeconomic impact of agricultural autonomy.
