Jenna DePasquale
Jenna DePasquale is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Sociology and Criminology. She joined the faculty at Mississippi State University in 2025 after receiving her Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at Portland State University. She utilizes digital content analysis strategies to study online discourse, especially as it pertains to sex work, irregular migration, and fear of crime transnationally. Her current focus is teaching courses that examine crime, policing, and labor in the context of intersectional systems of inequality. Outside of academia, she has experience working in law, government, and media.
